Volleyball: TCU’s season concludes in second round of NCAA Tournament

The Horned Frogs fell to No. 3 seed Arkansas in the Fayetteville Regional Championship match.

The TCU volleyball team saw its postseason run conclude with a 3-1 loss against No. 3 seed Arkansas in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. The Horned Frogs secured a third-set victory, but were unable to complete their rally, as the Razorbacks emerged with a 25-18, 27-25, 23-25, 25-20 win. It was the second consecutive season that TCU (17-15, 8-10 Big 12) advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament under head coach Jason Williams, who took the program over from Jill Kramer last year.

Audrey Nalls and Melanie Parra each recorded double-doubles in the match, with Nalls scoring a team-high 17 kills and 10 digs while Parra added 14 kills and 12 digs. Jalyn Gibson concluded the match with a double-double as well, totaling 12 kills and 10 digs on the TCU side. Lily Nicholson dished out a double-double with 13 digs and a team-leading 43 assists, concluding the season with 620 assists in place of injured starting setter Riley Buckley. Cecily Bramschreiber notched 25 digs, her highest total since Oct. 14 against West Virginia.
