The TCU football team earned its first transfer portal commitment of the offseason on Thursday, with former Louisiana Tech offensive lineman Carson Bruno revealing his decision on social media. The redshirt sophomore started all 12 games for Louisiana Tech during the 2023 season, helping the team record 243 first downs, second-most in Conference USA. The 6-foot-4, 312-pounder from Shreveport, Louisiana spent three seasons with the Bulldogs and was an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention selection for the 2023 season.
Bruno started in all 12 games during the 2022 season as well, earning an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention for his efforts on the offensive line. Bruno will bolster a TCU depth chart that will see four starters including offensive tackles Brandon Coleman and Andrew Coker, as well as center John Lanz and offensive guard Willis Patrick, vacate their spots. Bruno played his high school football at C. E. Byrd, where he was a three-star defensive tackle prospect before signing with Louisiana Tech and moving to the offensive line.
