Former TCU wide receiver and return specialist Derius Davis brought back five punts for touchdowns during his five-year career with the Horned Frogs, which concluded with a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship last season. After being selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Davis has continued to shine as a punt returner, attempting 24 returns for 385 yards and one touchdown over 17 games during his rookie season. Davis was recognized on Wednesday as one of the top return men in the game, receiving All-Pro honors as a punt returner by the NFLPA.

Davis finished his collegiate career with six special teams touchdowns in addition to 1,696 scrimmage yards and 11 touchdowns as a wide receiver. The speedster was one of three TCU athletes selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2023 NFL Draft. Los Angeles snagged former Horned Frog wide receiver Quentin Johnston in the first round as well as quarterback Max Duggan in the seventh round. Davis concluded his rookie season with 15 catches for 66 yards as well as 14 carries for 101 yards and 17 kick returns for 374 yards.
