TCU Blanks Tech

New, comments

The Frogs open up Big 12 play in great fashion, stomping Tech 9-0.

Brandon Finnegan was once again untouchable. The nation's strikeout leader collected 10 strikeouts last night, and has now had double-digit strikeouts in five of his six starts. The TCU bats also came to life, giving Finnegan some wiggle room for once, as the Frogs dominated Texas Tech 9-0.

The Frogs' offense piled on the runs in the fifth to take a 7-0 lead, and Tech was pretty much buried from there. Keaton Jones shined on offense, going 3-4, scoring two runs, and collecting an 8th inning RBI to score counterpart Derek Odell. All in all, it was a pretty perfect night for TCU baseball as the the Frogs gave a packed house a dominating performance in their Big 12 opener with another brilliant performance by Finny and the bats finally making some noise.

Let's hope the Frogs' momentum today. P-Mo will take the mound today at 4.

Go Frogs.
