TCU gets a late scare, wins anyway

Despite having trouble closing the game, Ferrell and the offense dominated the first game in OKC.

Whew---that was close. After Kipper dealt a gem, a shutout with 7 strikeouts over 7 innings, Baylor tacked on 5 runs before finally being tamed---and TCU got out of the game with a 8-5 win in OKC. The offense made a great first showing, sprawling out their runs well throughout the game. Derek Odell, back to wearing number 5,  and Cody Jones highlighted the TCU bats.

Baylor made things interesting after Mitchell Traver gave up 4 runs in the 9th. But Riley Ferrell came in and did his usual thing and picked up his 12th save on the year.

The Frogs will now meet West Virginia, who beat Kansas this morning after being down 8-2.
