After news broke Sunday night that TCU men's basketball coach Trent Johnson was fired, former TCU guard Trey Zeigler took to Twitter to express his appreciation for Johnson.
"Many people are quick to look at the record over the past four years but great basketball minds know entering a great conference like the Big 12 without the right players was going to take more time than usually given to a coach. He is a great coach and even better man. He told me something I'll never forget pick a coach that you would invite to your wedding and any other huge life accomplishments. Without a doubt he is that guy."

Just an alumni speaking his mind! Sad to see a great university and great coach part ways. Still forever a frog . pic.twitter.com/g7ljYkqwRs— Trey Zeigler (@Tzig0) March 14, 2016
